Laci Coleman, M.S., CCC-SLP
Founder and Administrator
Laci is licensed under the Florida Department of Health for
Speech language Pathology and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing
Association. As a little girl, Laci knew she was called to work with children and began to fulfill this passion by receiving
her Bachelor’s degree with a minor in Child Development at Texas Christian University in 2010. Laci graduated from Texas
Woman’s University with her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2012 in order to help children with the single most
important gift of life- communication with friends and family. Laci has experience working with children in a variety of settings
such as the public school system, outpatient clinic, hospital, and home-health. Laci has had the privilege of working with many
medically fragile children with varying disabilities, disorders, and severity levels (e.g., Down Syndrome, Autism, Pallister-Killian
Syndrome, Pierre Robin Syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, Locked-In Syndrome, Stroke, Failure to Thrive, Pediatric
Carcinoma, etc.) In addition to speech and language therapy, Laci also specializes in the areas of oral motor and sensory
intervention with pediatric dysphagia and feeding delays/disorders at both the individual and group therapy level.
Laci and her Husband, Chris established Heart for Kids Therapy in order to fulfill the huge need for evidence-based pediatric
therapeutic services in western, central Florida. Laci spends a lot of her free time investing in the community by participating
in various community service events and providing donations to programs benefiting children (e.g., "Autos for Autism", “Hunting for
a Cure-Cystic Fibrosis”, “March of Dimes”, “Cara Young Fish for Life Tournament”, “Toys for Tots”, “Safe Haven-Shelter for Women
and Children”, etc.). Laci loves doing any activities that have to do with the beach such as swimming, sand volleyball, surfing.
In addition, she also admits to having a somewhat unhealthy obsession with salsa dancing and traveling.
Founder and Chief Financial Officer
Chris has always had a passion for working with children. He led and participated in church programs targeted towards
children for approximately 6 years before entering the field of broadcast television and engineering where he gained 15 years of
experience. After establishing a highly reputable and successful video post-production company, he decided it was time to partner
up with his wife, Laci and combine their therapeutic and business skills to invest in the lives of children through Heart 4 Kids Therapy.
When Chris isn’t carrying out the daily financial and marketing needs of Heart for Kids Therapy, he enjoys snowboarding,
boating, longboarding, surfing, and wakeboarding.
